Unwrap Relief this holiday season with Advil.
From dealing with nosy relatives to trying to hang up decorations, the holidays are sure to leave you needing a pain reliever. But what pain reliever would young adults be most likely to buy? Lack of ties to the brand, Advil, leads young adults to purchase the generic pain relievers found at local stores. By increasing brand recognition over this holiday season, Advil hopes to influence young adults to purchase Advil brand pain relievers over generic options.
Direction.
Bold. Nostalgic. Contained mess. “Unwrap Relief” draws on the nostalgia of tearing open gifts, wrapping paper flying everywhere, while letting young adults know that we know they’re adults by choosing more modern, clean wrapping paper for a more mature look.

What a better way to connect with young adults than a TikTok?
TikTok, one of the fastest-growing social media platforms, appeared to be the perfect place for “Unwrap Relief” to advertise to young adults and new professionals. Ideal for capturing the overlapping and overwhelming noises of the holidays that can lead to headaches, the “Unwrap Relief” TikTok was born.
#holidayheadaches
In order to engage younger generations, Advil releases #holidayheadaches, a cross-platform challenge to share your craziest holiday mishaps and stories that could possibly have resulted in a headache or other form of ache or pain.
For 200 lucky submissions, Advil will be giving away bottles of Advil. All the Advil bottles will come in a limited edition holiday box, sporting a red tinsel and silver bow design as seen above.
